Both Nasir and Rukn-ud-din get hold of the sword at the same time. The Sultan now must declare one of them as the winner. A combat between both the contestants is declared. Shah Turkan and Rukn-ud-din are not playing by the rules. Nasir fights valiantly but is defeated because Shah Turkan sabotages his horse. Rukn-ud-din is on the verge of killing Nasir and is declared winner. Mirza, pretending to be the prince of Shahgarh, challenges Rukn-ud-din. Iltutmish allows the fight to continue.
