It is SING as it turns out. SING tells his friends at Chu Lung Lane that he has saved MUI, requesting them to pretend she has been killed in a bombing. Later, he sends MUI to Chongqing for treatment. Before she goes, he gives her a modified hand grenade just in case she needs to protect herself. HEI and FUNG tell KWAN the concentration camp has been bombed. She then meets HONG, advising him to get back what he has lost before it is too late. Dressed up in a formal kimono, TATSUYA proposes to CHING. He invites SIM to be their witness. It hurts YEUNG to know how much CHING has suffered for him. He has a clash with the Japanese soldiers. KWAN and WAH are listening to the radio broadcast when HEI and HONG suddenly burst in.
